While Indonesia’s Internet economy is set to boom, the question is whether the archipelago’s 18,00 islands will also be able to take part.

While Indonesians are getting plugged into the Internet like never before, and more Tweets go out from Jakarta than any other city in the world, many people in rural areas are left out.
The government has plans to get broadband to the areas outside of the main island, Java, but it remains unclear whether that will happen.

Still, Indonesian Tech Minister Rudiantara told Borderless in an exclusive video interview exactly how he aims to do this.
